A Night @ La Casetta - Ostia/Roma, Italy

The summer is at it's end, but things are just getting started. I know I haven't been updating this blog that often and it's my fault. BUT, hopefully everyone is receiving my "tweets."

Here is a recording of a night at La Casetta. It's a club in Ostia, Rome's beach... basically ALL, or most, of the clubs in center Rome close down and EVERYONE comes to the Beach to party. Mainly because the club owners in Center Rome also own open-air clubs on the beach. Now these clubs hold between 2-3000 people each and theres a bunch of em. It's pretty redic. People in the streets waiting to get in seriously like "Studio 54 style." I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to get a Saturday night residency at a place called La Casetta, a really beautiful disco. The sound is amazing and being there with the music, lights and crowd is an life changing experience.

Here is the recording in 3 parts... the beaf comes about an hour into the second part and runs right into Casanova's set BUT, listen to the whole thing straight through. It'll give you a good idea of the atmosphere and you can almost feel the experience.

Tech.House Mix [Room26 inspired]

I'm very disappointed in their logo. But maybe this is not even the correct photo? I dunno, but here's a mix I did while I was spinning in the Kasbah the other night. It was inspired by my experience at Room26 in Roma, Italy. This was the type of music they were playing the whole night til about 5 in the morning. I wanted to test my 2 minute blending skills with some Tech House (Techno House). Here's a small mix. Eh, could be better, but it's a pretty fun mix non the less. Listen to this shit loud.

Tech.House Mix

I would have posted the track listing but unfortunately, I was just mixing aimlessly. Distinguishing the names of tracks/sounds of tracks is like trying to distinguish on person from another in the streets of Tokyo. Give me your thoughts on the sound...
